Today is the last day of business for Pittsburgh’s 720 Music Clothing Cafe (4405 Butler St). After 16 years at several different locations around the city, the owners have decided to move on to pursue other interests. From their Facebook page this morning:
Today marks the end of one era and beginning of many new ones. Today is the last day of business at @720pittsburgh. Feel free to join us for a cup of coffee or tea as we shut her down. Its been super fun so far Pittsburgh. We will see you in the near future.
Even though I didn’t support 720 nearly as much as I would have liked over the years, it was always nice just knowing they were there. Great vibes.
One of the owners, James Scoglietti (DJ Selecta) is one of Pittsburgh best DJ’s, and has said that he wants to focus more of his time and energy on DJ gigs around the city. Be sure to look for him around town. Selecta is also the host of WYEP’s Grand Groove Radio show playing Funk, Hip-Hop, Soul, Jazz, and Reggae every Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00. Check it out!
